About Lisa
My name is Lisa and I’m the proud mum of two adorable boys. Part stay at home mum and part freelance writer, I specialize in writing about health topics alongside pregnancy and parenting.
As a relatively young mom I now find myself a constant source of information and reassurance for friends who are thinking about starting a family, or who are currently experiencing pregnancy for themselves. I decided that a pregnancy blog, that looked at the various stages of pregnancy week by week, would be a great way to share my experiences with a wider audience.
I had two very different pregnancy and birth experiences, the first taking place in Switzerland where pregnancy is highly medicalised, and the other taking place in the UK where pregnancy is more midwife driven. A long labor with my first child resulted in a ventouse delivery, and I had my second child in a much quicker and unplanned water birth!
I began this blog when I was pregnant with my second little boy, so some of the earlier posts are written from the perspective of a pregnant lady. The later posts look back at my experiences of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as drawing on the experiences of my friends and topical news items.
I hope you find this blog helpful in your exciting journey towards parenthood. Please feel free to ask questions, share experiences, or leave comments on any of the posts.
Lisa
